Tom Stoppard

Little sweetheart, the playwright Tom Stoppard has passed away. I wrote this (below) this moring and posted it on some of our socials:

Tom Stoppard has passed away.

Summer was in the first regional production of his play, "Rock n Roll" - which may have been her favorite job ever - a co-production of San Francisco's ACT and Boston's Huntington Theatre.

While she was waiting in the wings to go on just before curtain one night at The Geary, Stoppard ambled out the shadows and told her he loved her work on his play. She was stunned and delighted and managed to compose herself before her indescribably memorable entrance, which was akin to Cleopatra arriving on her royal barge.

I already liked and admired him but this made me love the fuckin' guy.

God bless and rest you, Mr S. I think there's a red headed siren up there waiting to greet you. Maybe you have another role for her...
